WELCOME & THANK-YOU FOR ALLOWING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY UNIQUE SYSTEM OF DYANMIC MEDITATION.
My name is Sensei John Szmitkowski, JD. I am a Roku-Dan, Sixth Degree Black Belt, in the Okinawa style of Karate known as Goshin-Do Karate-Do. In addition, academically, I have earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law (1989) located in Newark, New Jersey.
I am the founder of a unique system of dynamic (moving) mediatation that I call Jiriki Kata-Do. This system of dynamic meditation has evolved from the four decades I have spent learning, practicing and evolving certain unique Karate protocol, called Kata. Jiriki Kata-Do translates as "The Way Of (Attaining) Inner Salvation Through Dynamic Meditation Rites." In this context, inner salvation means physical and spiritual well-being. Jiriki Kata-Do is a methodology and ideology designed for the purpose of codifying, rediscovering and reawakening the unification of one's body, mind and sense of within one's natural environment.
While those with Karate experience will find the ideology of Jiriki Kata-Do inspiring, refreshing and unique, you do NOT need prior experience in the art of Karate to practice the rites of dynamic meditation and benefit from Jiriki Kata-Do. My DVD's and textbooks contain a step-by-step process for learning the dynamic rites and lectures designed to acquaint you with the philosophy and ideology contained in each protocol. The first moving-meditation, or protocol, is called Sanchin. For Information on Sanchin, please see the "SANCHIN" page tab.
